Ashdown Forest is the number 1 location for cyclists in Sussex

» Posted in News

In a recent survey, Ashdown Forest came out as one of the best places to ride your bike in Sussex.

With its miles and miles of quiet roads and amazing scenery this is no surprise.

Ashdown Forest’s ideal location close to the popular seaside resorts of Brighton and Eastbourne also means that rides can take in the stunning forest scenery as well as the sea in the same ride.

Famous Sussex landmarks and tourist attractions such as Beachy Head, Cuckmere Haven and Ditchling Beacon can all be incorporated into a bike ride.

The forest has a diverse landscape offering bike riders a wide variety to choose from; everything from a gentle amble along one of the old disused railway tracks such as the Forest Way to a steep climb such as Kidds Hill to test the serious hard-core rider.
